Description
Alfalfa, alias grass head, wood millet, light wind grass, for the leguminous plant medicago ruthenica or medicago medicago ruthenica tender stems and leaves. Every 100 grams of alfalfa tender stems and leaves contain 5.0 grams of protein, 0.4 grams of fat, 2.4 grams of crude fiber, 8 grams of carbohydrate, 3.28 mg of carotene, 0.36 mg of vitamin B2, 92 mg of vitamin C, 103 mg of calcium, 50 mg of phosphorus and 2.4 mg of iron.
